Willer's Woodwinds offers private music lessons in bassoon, clarinet, flute, oboe, and saxophone for all ages. Music is an important part of enriching people's lives. Each student’s needs and goals are different and instruction should reflect these differences. Regardless of a students goals or starting level, Willer's Woodwinds seeks to offer the very best music education to each student.
All music lessons at Willer's Woodwinds are taught by Brenda Willer Buys. Brenda holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Arizona, a Master's degree in Multiple Woodwind Performance from Florida State University, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Arizona. Brenda has experience teaching students of all ages. She has taught lessons with Music Lessons Express, the Santa Cruz Foundation for the Performing Arts, and Instrumental Music Center. In addition, she has experience as an elementary school music teacher and a choir director. While at FSU and the UofA, she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant, which included serving as the UofA bassoon studio instructor during the spring of 2012. Currently, Dr. Buys teaches woodwinds and music theory at Cochise College. She is a member of the bassoon group LuftBassoons and the Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra. In addition, she serves as the bassoon fingerings coordinator of the International Double Reed Society.
